Los Angeles 2020: Legacy Footprint

When we do not count our blessings
then we fail in
global collective good.
The betterment
of our communities
is augmented
by our ability,
to put into practice -
the cherishing
of our common unity.
This, our home planet,
has a simple existence.
It’s easy living here,
versus living
on other
planetary bodies.

So, if, this existence
means and involves
valuing all life;
in all forms,
of every age,
in all dimensions -
then these our values
evolve us intelligently.

We become more,
more than now,
more than before,
more than
our combined pasts -
more than we currently
imagine
possible.

Imagination
is the treasure
we all hope to gain.

It is our individual,
and collective,
sight seer abilities
growing stronger
with each experience;
that awareness
of ourselves,
and what we
choose to create -
this self-consciousness,
is what awards us
the title of
an 'evolved being'

Los Angeles 2020: Spring Sprung

In the farthest corners
of our known galaxy
we gathered.

Together we brought
Souls together
from the center
of our unknown Spaces.

We considered peace on Earth,
and peace beyond our land + sky.

We created conversations
about everything peace related.
We were peaceful.

When the Sun rounded
the corners of our Earth,
and the morning star rose
in the gardens of our galaxy -
the sound of the auroral borealis
clicked loudly in the sky.

We woke from our harmonious dream.

Two rainbows bloomed-arches,
castles in the sky
uniting our heavens
with our earthly bodies.

2020 tales were told
by the tellers of stories,
the wordsmiths,
and the crafters of silver linings.

Through the wind and rain,
hail and storm,
lightening and solar flares
came the beginning of the end,
and the end of our beginnings.

We matured.

We were being promoted to mature -
emotionally and physically,
spiritually and mentally.

Destiny drew us
past the illusions of duality,
dragging us head over heels
into bipolar polarities.

We perplexed and pretended
that we were afraid
of the known and unknown.

The truth was embedded
in the story still being told,
never-ending simple complexities
told over, and over, again.

A simple HELLO
would have sufficed,
but we were too busy
struggling to figure life out -
instead of living it gracefully.

We were grateful
to that
which evolved us,
intensified us,
and focused us -
each one of us more clearly.

“Home again”,
we shouted
as the Sun fell
and the Moon rose.

Dawn cracked the sky,
like ice freezing storylines
onto the surface
of a cold winter pond.

Life homemade,
handmade sometimes -
made by the sweat,
and courage,
of the hearts,
which crave peace.”

Los Angeles 2020: Glimpse Inside

Walking around
my neighborhood today,
I make another new friend.
It is easy
when people are friendly.

The hummingbirds and lady bugs
move around with me.

I step around and over
the cat food thrown about
the sidewalk for the wild street cats.

One of the street cats is pregnant.
That means a kitten marathon parade
running through our yard's backlot -
the iron cat competition.

LAX is a few blocks in one direction,
fewer planes arrive each day, empty.
In the other direction, towards Hollywood,
are city fracking drills and oil rigs pumping.

When the wind blows the wrong way
the air smells of a cocktail mixture
shaken methane mice
stirred with etheric evergreens.

It’s a bizarre smell,
strange old musk antique,
yet modern industrial stink.

The constant hum of the city is bygone chic,
quiet and secretly stabilizing.
What happens inside the Earth
does not stay below ground,
but plays out in the surface residents.

Humans host organisms,
and microorganisms host other life forms -
then we all mix
in the river of blood
that runs through all of our veins.

I inhale your exhales.

We drink the same water,
Water already rained down,
a few times or more,
and run through
a few many life forms.

Living life,
in this biological bubble,
the watery suit of human ecology -
we are the virions,
who have gone viral,
in our virus environment.

We are simply made,
of the same ingredients,
as every living essence,
who has taken form.
Everything hosts life,
which hosts more life.

A person's a person, no matter how small.
